On 21st June, Akshara School came alive with a sense of calm, energy, and unity as we celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and collective spirit. This special day was not just a reminder of India’s timeless gift to the world but also a celebration of health, harmony, and holistic development—values that we nurture in every student.

The event began with an inspiring address by the Principal, who highlighted the significance of yoga in today’s fast-paced world. This was followed by a serene group chanting of OM and a demonstration of Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations), performed by students across various grades with precision and grace.

🌿 Highlights of the Day:

 
  • Mass Yoga Session: Students and staff participated in guided yoga sessions led by trained instructors, covering basic asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques.

  • Theme-based Presentations: Students created posters and gave presentations on the theme “Yoga for Humanity”, emphasizing yoga as a way to unite mind, body, and soul.

  • Live Demonstrations: Enthusiastic participants showcased advanced postures and explained their health benefits, creating awareness among their peers.

  • Quiz & Interactive Activities: Fun and informative yoga-themed quizzes kept the younger students engaged and excited about health and wellness.

Through Yoga Day celebrations, Akshara School reinforces the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, mental clarity, and emotional balance. Yoga is not just an activity—it’s a way of life, and our students are learning to live it mindfully.

As the session concluded in silence with a short meditation, a sense of peace and positivity enveloped the campus—a true reflection of what yoga brings into our lives.
